Cuttica di Revigliasco si è poi recato, durante lo scorso fine settimana a Casale, per una fitta serie di impegni elettorali. Ha approfittato per far tappa a Sant’Evasio, duomo della città, ma è rimasto profondamente deluso dalla gestione dei musei cittadini.
“Non è possibile che il museo chiuda alle 18.30, quando, durante questa stagione, la gente inizia ad uscire di casa. E’ assurdo. Mi hanno gentilmente chiesto di uscire perché in orario di chiusura: ore 18.20 di domenica. E così ho dovuto rinunciare all’allestimento del museo civico, che esponeva i restauri del Portale rinascimentale di Santa Maria di Piazza. Stesso amaro discorso vale per il Castello che alle 19.00 di sabato aveva già chiuso i battenti”.

Come ho già avuto occasione di dire, è mia intenzione mettermi al lavoro da subito, nonostante i numerosi impegni di questo periodo. Ed è per questo che aggiungo sempre al mio taccuino elettorale, visite e sopralluoghi sul territorio della provincia per poter toccare con mano e rendermi conto delle "urgenze culturali" del territorio. Mi trovavo a Casale, per ricevere l'on.Roberto Cota ed ho approfittato per entrare in Sant'Evasio, il Duomo casalese, situato in pieno centro, testimone di un romanico rivisitato nei secoli.

Dell’antica chiesa, consacrata nel 1107 da Papa Pasquale II rimane, oltre al perimetro dell’edificio, il vasto ambiente del nartece.
