Esito interpellanza Istituzione Registro Tumori in Provincia di Enna


"La discussione seguita in seguito alla interpellanza sulla istituzione del Registro Tumori in Provincia di Enna presentata e discussa dallo scrivente alla seduta del Consiglio Provinciale svoltasi nella giornata di ieri, ha visto come interlocutore privilegiato lo stesso Presidente della Provincia Regionale Pippo Monaco.

Una relazione che ha lasciato il sottoscritto esterefatto e senza parole a tal punto che nella replica, lo scrivente ha affermato che lo stesso Presidente ignorava completamente la materia in oggetto di discussione.

Difatti lo stesso Presidente ha affermato, intanto, con certezza, che i Registri Tumori in Sicilia non erano 6, come dichiarato nell'interpellanza, ma bensì soltanto uno, l'unico veramente valido da un punto di vista scientifico non solo in Sicilia ma in tutto il Meridione d'Italia e trattasi del Registro in uso nella Provincia di Ragusa.

Non contento di questa affermazione il Presidente Monaco, che avrebbe dovuto avere quanto meno il buon senso, visto la carica che ricopre, di andare a verificare meglio l'argomento in discussione, aggiunge che i numeri dei decessi per cancro in Provincia non sono da primato nella classifica dei decessi.

Inoltre conclude dicendo che al territorio della provincia sarebbe più utile un'indagine di natura epidemiologica in quanto la gestione di un Registro Tumori comporterebbe, per una sua gestione prettamente scientifica elevati costi e un numero di uomini considerevole (e a questo punto il Presidente butta giù una serie di numeri in termini di costi e di uomini da vero esperto della materia!!!)

A questo punto lo scrivente afferma quanto segue:

- I registri Tumori nelle Regioni di Puglia, Sardegna, Lazio, Sicilia e Campania, secondo gli ultimi dati in mio possesso, hanno raggiunto the number of 14;

- I suddetti Registri hanno trovato la loro giusta legittimazione dalla Circolare Assessoriale dell'Assessore alla Sanità della Regione Siciliana n. 1217 del 13.07.2007, nella quale si evidenziano il complesso di recenti norme derivanti dalla L.R. 8.09.2003, n. 13, art. 20 e successive integrazioni, ove si fa riferimento all'istituzione sul territorio regionale e al finanziamento dei Registri Tumori nelle Province sopra citate.

Ad oggi circa l'80% della popolazione siciliana è monitorata da questo privilegiato strumento del Registro Tumori!

Ma allora lo scrivente si chiede da anni:

-"Perché gli abitanti delle Province di Enna, Caltanissetta ed Agrigento should not enjoy the same rights of fellow of the other provinces? "

-" Why, after so many promises and declarations of the consolidation of our province with that of Catania for the implementation of a single register in order to minimize costs, it all seems back the point of departure a few years ago? "

considerations are twofold:

- Or the local politicians see the same statements of our President to the Provincial Council yesterday, did not really care about the problem, leading to that way, with their political acts, a difference of recognition of the same dignity and equal rights of other fellow citizens who live in the 6 provinces with a yes that instrument;

- O, there is a political maneuver targeted and precise enough to prevent the establishment of the Cancer Registry in the Province of Enna, Caltanissetta and Agrigento to hide the evidence of much higher numbers of diseases of national average.

Monaco Dear President, you can say whatever he wants on the merits, but I assure you that the undersigned will not stop until they will set up the Cancer Registry for the people of its territory, financed, and rightly, by the Regional of Health of the Sicilian Region, the same way as those already working in the region!

To this end, the writer submits opportuna mozione, già presentata, e che sarà quasi certamente votata al prossimo Consiglio Provinciale, certo che i colleghi Consiglieri, a dispetto di Lei, Presidente Monaco, non si tireranno indietro di fronte alle proprie responsabilità e daranno mandato alla S.V. di attivare ogni tipo di azione per ottemperare quanto è necessario per l'istituzione del registro Tumori in Provincia di Enna."

Premesso che:

. Gli ultimi anni è stato sempre più crescente, nell’opinione pubblica della nostra provincia, la sensazione di un incremento delle malattie tumorali, inspiegabili nel nostro territorio, quasi del tutto esente da insediamenti industriali.

. Già sei provincie su nove della nostra Regione dispongono di uno strumento valido di monitoraggio delle malattie oncologiche quale il Registro Tumori.

Iudica, il quale più volte ha affermato l’intenzione da parte dell’Assessorato Regionale alla Sanità di voler accorpare varie provincie attorno ad un unico registro Tumori, e nello specifico la Provincia di Enna sarebbe dovuta essere accorpata al Registro Tumori della Provincia di Catania.

Da notizie ufficiose sembra che sia stato versata con abile sapienza “acqua su quel fuoco” acceso dalla pressante spinta dell’opinione pubblica registrata sino agli inizi di quest’anno riguardo all’istituzione del Registro Tumori nella nostra provincia. - Which and how many resources the Province of Enna Authority has or is working with the USL 4 of Enna in the implementation of the Cancer Registry in the province?

- If the unofficial reports on not to implement the Cancer Registry in the Province of Enna prove justified, what measures political, economic efforts and anything else deemed to take the AP in respect of regional and provincial society as a whole in order to establish in very short time the Cancer Registry in the Province of Enna?
